There are many ways you can describe Toronto. It has fun in abundance; it has a terrific art’s scene, and is comfortable with big ideas; and it’s also a major city, with many of the biggest players and names passing through from time to time. If you’re planning on visiting Toronto during mid-February and beyond, you’ll be able to see examples of all three of these sides of the city. Coming up we have a fun night at the cinema, an exhibition from one of the world’s most notable artists, and an exhibition that nature and photography lovers alike will enjoy. Check out all the details below.
If you’re one of those people who enjoys watching cat videos online (and who isn’t?), then have we got the event for you. On Saturday, February 23, the Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema will be screening a selection of the funniest and cutest cat videos to grace the internet. 10% of the ticket price will go to a local cat shelter, too!
Of all the contemporary artists on the scene, few are as interesting as artist and activist Ai Weiwei. There’ll be an exhibition of his show ‘Unbroken’ at the Gardiner Museum from February 28 through to June 9. Not to be missed!
You’ll have until March 31st to visit the ‘Wildlife Photographer of the Year’ exhibition, which is currently running at the Royal Ontario Museum. Expect photos of breathtaking wildlife and scenery that’ll take your breath away.
Round off your day of exploring by staying at the best hotel in Toronto. At the Best Western Plus Travel Hotel Toronto Airport, you’ll have everything you need to fully enjoy your stay, including a complimentary hot breakfast, fitness centre, and an onsite restaurant.
