posted by: BW Plus Travel Hotel Toronto Airport on: October 12, 2017 08:17:06 PM

Sure, it’s a little early for Christmas stuff right NOW, but come the end of November the air will start getting colder, and the thought of sharing a glass of eggnog around the fire will start to feel pretty attractive. Get yourself fully prepped for the holiday in Toronto this winter!

SANTA CLAUS PARADE

A Toronto institution since 1905 (!!!), the Santa Claus Parade will take place November 19 through the streets of downtown Toronto. The parade starts at Bloor and Christie, and features amazingly imaginative floats, two dozen marching bands (!!!!) and thousands of participants young and old. It’s a family favourite for everyone in Ontario – don’t miss out! Details here.

CAVALCADE OF LIGHTS

Another Toronto Institution (albeit for a mere fifty years – pffft!), the Cavalcade of Lights marks the first lighting of Toronto’s city Christmas Tree in Nathan Phillips Square. Every year features live music performed by some of Canada’s hottest bands, followed by a night skate with a Toronto DJ providing the music mix! Head downtown November 25 to check it out.

ONE OF A KIND SHOW & SALE

Featuring all sorts of goods, arts and crafts produced by some of Canada’s most esteemed artisans, the One of a Kind Show is a fantastic place to get the perfect gift that special someone, or someones, in your life. Taking place since 1975, this market features everything from baked goods, jewellery and clothing to furniture and major artworks are here, along with the designers and craftspeople, so you can learn first-hand the inspiration behind the work. The One of a Kind Show starts November 23 and ends on December 3, so get your holiday shopping done early and kick back for the rest of December!
