June events in Toronto: Food, arts, and waterfront fun

There are plenty of ways you could describe Toronto, but the one we like most, for June at least, is ‘The City of Festivals.’ It seems like every week there’s another well-curated festival that brings a new topic to Toronto’s locals and visitors alike. Coming up we have a festival dedicated to delicious food, one that showcases the creative talents of the city, and another that’ll provide a stunning spectacle out on the water. Sounds good? You bet it does. Check out all the need to know info below.

Eating well

Is there anything better than tasting the best food a city has to offer? We don’t think so -- and when the city in question is Toronto, it’s even more exciting. On June 15 and 16, head down to Downsview Park for Foodalicious 2019. There’ll be up to thirty food vendors selling their creations, as well live music and a kids zone for the little ones.

Arts festival

June 7 - 23 sees the return of the ever popular Luminato Festival, which will be taking place at venues across the city. The best theatre, music, and dance from across the country and world will all be showcased. Not to be missed!

On the waterfront

The Redpath Waterfront Festival will be quite the spectacle! Taking place from June 29 through to Canada Day (July 1), there’ll be some pretty magnificent tall ships docked out on the water. The perfect photo opportunity!

After all that fun, make sure you’re round off your day with a stay at the best hotel in Toronto. At the Best Western Plus Travel Hotel Toronto Airport, you can choose from a range of room types so you can find the perfect room for your needs, and also enjoy amenities that include a hot complimentary breakfast, fitness centre, and free airport shuttle.
